A virtual queue is a way to queue for a service without the need to queue physically. Usually, customers join a virtual queue by scanning a QR code with their phones. The virtual queue then keeps customers informed of their positions and notifies them when they are that front of the queue via their phone. 

 Some virtual queues do not require a phone and instead have customers join the queue via a public tablet or computer in the lobby or entrance of the venue.
